Platelet Rich Plasma also known as the Vampire Facial is the use of your own bloods plasma injected into areas of skin concern to use the bodys own powers of repair and regeneration. Plasma contains a concentration of platelets and their associated growth factors that are involved in cell proliferation (increased number of cells), angiogenesis (new blood vessel formation), collagenesis (collagen formation) and matrix remodelling (physical support for tissue and elasticity). Platelet Rich Plasma treatment improves skin texture and tone, refines signs of aging (lines and wrinkles), reduces dark circles, increases hydration, reduces scars (acne, stretch marks) and gradually increases skin thickness and vitality.
Most clients will see best results after 3 treatments at 4 week intervals although one treatment may be adequate for some clients. Best results will be visible at 3 months as new collagen is formed with results remaining for 1-2 years following treatment.

- A numbing cream is applied to the skin for 30 minutes prior to the treatment.
- In that time a sample of blood is drawn from the arm and is inserted into a machine known as a centrifuge that separates the plasma from the red blood cells.
- This plasma is then injected into areas of concern on the skin.
- Slight bruising and swelling may occur at injection sites but will gradually subside over 24-48 hours.
